Teaching Respect

First of all, Connecticut Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. When we see it, we stop it. But fortunately, bullying doesn’t happen often.

Perhaps there’s so little bullying in our schools because of the environment, which is filled with committed teachers and school leaders who teach respect for all people.

From this shared value, a safe, secure, respectful atmosphere emerges. Yes, it emanates from our Catholic identity. But our schools are open to children of all faiths, and we practice the principle of respect for every individual every single day.

If you’re the kind of parent who believes that your child’s school should reflect the same values of safety and respect that you practice at home, then have a conversation with a school administrator at a Catholic School near you.
